I've seen this car bounce around craigslist for a few days now. Cool project. I'm just not sure I would have put it in that particular body.

I am considering doing a 12V swap on my invicta wagon this winter and parking the Nailhead in a garage. Just looking at mileage of a cummins vs the V8. I have a 12V and tranny from a Ram 3500 sitting up where the car is, so it is on my mind .

I wish I had the monies. When I am in the market for another DD with 4 doors that gets 30MPG+...... I might be looking into something like this. No lie.

been parked for 2 years until this year. My girlfriends dad gave it to me. Not bad on the rust, needs a little interior love in the drivers seat. 9 passenger, 63. I got it fired up this year and moved inside but havent been able to bring it down from his house (3 hours north of here). Her brother was running it around the island she is from as an illegal taxi till a few years back. The color is "Rose Mist" which I like quite a bit http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/505-has-a-new-…

For being in Maine for so long it looks surprisingly straight and solid. I've always liked those older wagons. Bet that made a great taxi though.

haha I am sure it did. It is a tiny soft in the drivers floor pan too, but really not bad at all, 2 hours with some plate steel and a welder to go through it. Aint ever going to be a show car

I'd put a filter on the turbo and rock it until the wheels fall off!

2 hours with some plate >>> my Falcon's not even there at all floorboards. Somebody on here, though, had a thing with a Jeep XJ(I think) where they had hand-cut maybe 9-10 separate little pieces and quilted their floorboard back together. Show cars - not really a thing around here.

I've proposed sticking an Offenhauser in a 50s Roadmaster before, mostly joking. Same net result, though - barge with *WHUM WHUM WHUM WHUM WHUM* earth-shattering NVH.

I'd love to see this thing in real life. Those 6BTs are super tall and I'm curious to know how much ground clearance there is to the oil pan.

I have a huge soft spot for early 60s Galaxies but I would never do a Cummings swap just because I have zero diesel experience . One day I will get a '64 HT and do a coyote or 4.6 DOHC swap.
